Hello :)
I want to know if my monitor (GDM-4011P) can have DPMS
functionality with my indigo²? I specify that i use only
the three color signals (A1,A2 & A3) of my GDM to the i².
In a submenu of the Toolchest, the power-saving option is
grayed :/ Is it important to take care of the other pins
(Pin 1...) of the 13w3 connector for this to work?

Thanks!

First off, does the hardware support DPMS at all?

The DPMS standard use the HSync and VSync signals to control power
modes. Your setup must necessarily be using a composite sync-on-green
signal type (since you're only using the RGB signals) so I'd guess
that's the reason why you can't currently use power-saving. The pin
assignments for your machine can be found somewhere at techpubs.sgi.com
if you wish to make a cable with a few more connections.

Don't know, but it should :) The graphic card is a High Impact.

Ok, thanks for the tip and the url (techpubs.sgi.com), a great site! I
found the manual in PDF of my i² :) Well, i think i'll go to make some
another tests on my GDM's 13w3 connector with my soldering iron :)) /o\

While you´re at it: there _is_ Hsync/Vsync on the Indigo2 side.
Connect it and off you go with any non-SOG monitor (definetely)...
as I did for an EIZO FlexScan L985EX using 1600x1200.
