Hi

does any one know if there is a problem with 10000rpm disks on octane ?
I get scsi controler (-1) instead of (1 ) not able to fx the disk.
on indigo 2 the disks works fine!!

Thanks

SCSI address conflict seems likely.

I don't know at the moment whether the octane automatically
assigns SCSI addresses per-slot. The Indigo^2 does, if you haven't
set the jumpers on the drive.

If you have set the ID jumpers, try a different ID...

It's SCA, so yes, it should.

Make sure there's no ID jumpers or ID Override jumpers set on the drive itself,
of course.

I seem to remember seeing some squirely output on SCSI ID's once when I
accidentally connected the ID cable up backwards. I had the ground side
connected to the other side. After I switched it around the right way, things
worked correctly. Just an idea. Good luck.
