Hello everyone.
I have a pair of Indigo 2 IMPACT R10000 machines here, and I was
wondering what a fair selling price for them would be. I'm not sure how
much RAM they have (is there an easy way to find out without an OS?),
but I know they have some. There are no drives or drive sleds. Beyond
that, the systems are complete and apparently in good shape, barring a
few scratches on the cases. They both boot into the diagnostic-type
utility that's built into the board; I'm not sure what it is called.
What do you folks think is a fair price for these, with no peripherals?
Thanks

John

Boot into the prom monitor, type "hinv" to get a hardware inventory.

Check out http://www.futuretech.blinkenlights.nl/sgidepot/indigo2.html
(or the site of anybody else who sells second hand SGI equipment) for
examples. It depends on the CPU speed, amount of RAM, and graphics.

That depends... if plastic parts are broken or missing: bad luck.

I sold two Indigo2 R10k machines at eBay recently, fully equipped /w

- MaxImpact Gfx
- two harddrives IBM/Hitachi 9GB/18GB
- CD-ROM
- 1GB RAM
- Phobos G160 100MBit Ethernet Card
- IRIX 6.5.22 & actual patchsets
- lots of free- & nekoware already installed

each of those brought me 165,- Euro.

Indigo2s became rare on eBay, mainly Octane2s or Fuels going there.
